Welcome to Roz Hiking.

We are a friendly hiking group based in Hong Kong who do regular free weekly hikes, all over Hong Kong. Our hikes have varying degrees of difficulty, so please take a moment of your time to read the information on this website before joining a hike. Sun, Aug 17 2025: Shady Woods Walk along Beeline Trail, Kap Lung Forestry area, Tai Lam Country Park
We shall take bus #51 from Tsuen Wan West and alight at the Forestry Management Office bus stop almost at the highest elevation of the bus route closed to Tai Mo Shan. A bit of descend we shall join the shaded winding horizontal 400m contour Beeline Trail. Lots of insects and mysterious creatures such as red hill crabs are awaiting to be discovered along the way. When the Ho Pui Reservoir is in sight, we shall push downslope along the plantation trails towards the reservoir embedded in natural woods. From Hoi Pui village, we shall take a minibus to Yuen Long or Kam Sheung road MTR.

Meeting Point: 9:30am @ Tsuen Wan WEST MTR (NOTE: Tsuen Wan WEST, please don't go wrong), Exit D inside the station

Sat, Aug 23 2025: Long Harbour & Mirs Bay Boat Ride
The weather is baking hot, so let's enjoy a 2hr boat road with cooling breezes and sea air. This is a 2hr public ferry ride that runs from Ma Liu Shui to Wong Shek pier. We can relax, take in the scenery and avoid sweating a lot. The cost of the ferry is HK$30. On a clear day there are beautiful views all around us as we go via Sham Chung, Lai Chi Chong, Tap Mun, Ko Lau Wan & Chek Keng before finally arriving at Wong Shek pier at around 4:55pm.

We will get the bus back to Sai Kung for a bite to eat before heading home. Please bring enough water for the boat ride, along with suncream, repellent and a change of clothes if you are stying for food.

Meeting Point: 2:15pm @ University MTR, Exit B for the 3pm ferry to Wong Shek from the public pier. Note: This event/hike is on a Saturday!

Sun, Sept 7 2025: Junk Trip
We'll go aboard a junk in the morning and make a tour around the southern or eastern part of Hong Kong. Remember to bring your swimming gear as we will definitely stop somewhere to swim. Food and drinks are NOT provided and hence please bring whatever you need to survive the day. Around 5 pm, we shall head back to Central Ferry Pier.

We will divide the junk charge among the number of people who ACTUALLY show up. So, feel free to bring your friends along. Book your places by email to Amanda.
