We are a friendly hiking group based in Hong Kong who do regular free weekly hikes, all over Hong Kong. Our hikes have varying degrees of difficulty, so please take a moment of your time to read the information on this website before joining a hike. Sun, Oct 5 2025: Tung Chung to Sha Lo Wan
From the MTR station, we'll walk over a little hill, then through a fishing village, past a temple, and winding our way along the coastal trail towards Tai O. We'll find plenty of shade and not too many hills. When we reach the village of Sha Lo Wan, we'll take a side trail up the hill to visit a large camphor tree that overlooks the human settlement. Then we'll head back down towards the coast and the pier to wait for the ferry that will take us back to Tung Chung.

Bring plenty of water and a snack or pack lunch.

Sat, Oct 11 2025: Tsing Shan Monastery
One of the three oldest temples in Hong Kong, the Tsing Shan Buddhist Monastery is widely believed to be the birthplace of Buddhism in Hong Kong. It is also the filming location for the opening scenes of Bruce Lee's 1973 classic Enter the Dragon, hence The Bruce Lee Way, a path within the grounds dedicated to the martial arts superstar.

We will explore all areas of this beautiful monastery before heading back down to the Light Rail. Most probably we will head to Tuen Mun Ferry Pier for a bite to eat in a local restaurant before heading home but plans may change on the day. Let's see what we feel like.

Sat, Oct 18 2025: HK Coastal Trail: Aberdeen to Stanley
After a short walk along the road to reach the coast, we will follow various concrete paths, sandy beaches and quiet roads past Deep Water Bay, Repulse Bay & Middle Bay. Then we'll follow the South Bay Road, a path parallel to the Repulse Bay Road and Chung Hom Kok Road all the way to Stanley. A cooling beer and a bite to eat awaits us at the end.

Please bring water and repellent.
