We shall first visit Ha Tsuen, an ancient walled village and then the Chinese temple Lin To Monastery hidden deep inside Ha Tsuen valley. The climb will start after the temple and we shall ramble along the ridge-line southwards in the former shelling ground going through all hilltops between Yuen Tau Shan (375m) and the highest point at 394 m. The badly-eroded gravel slopes are at times steep, bare, loose, & at times associated with gullies and ravines.

Bring a hiking pole and a pair of gloves and prepare for many many ups and downs. Under clear weather, we will have a chance to glance at the Western Corridor connecting HK to Shenzhen Port. Our finishing point will be determined on which route we take.

Meeting Point: 9:30am @ Tin Shui Wai MTR, Exit A

We shall start our walk from the toll collection plaza on the North Lantau Highway. Depending on the weather you should be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views which include Hong Kong Disneyland and Discovery Bay. The route covers mostly non Govt managed paths and some of these paths may be overgrown and/or brushy. We will most probably finish in DB, but options are available if people want to continue to Mui Wo. We'll decide on the day.

Meeting Point: 9:45am @ Lantau Toll Plaza bus stop on the North Lantau Highway. All buses heading to the Airport will pass this bus stop. You should prepare to get off after your bus enters the Tsing Ma Bridge.
