Tung Lung Chau (also known as Nam Tong Island) lies east of HK Island, south of the peninsula of Clear Water Bay. The island is largely uninhabited. In ancient times it was used for military use only. We`ll take our time to explore this scenic Island, which overlooks the D'Aguilar Peninsula and Shek-O. Our walk may take us via Tung Lung Fort (constructed 300 years ago) and the lighthouse by Fat Tong Mun. We`ll return by ferry to Sai Wan Ho around 4pm and grab a bite before heading home.

Also prepare for a few eroded or gravelly grounds during the climb.

Sat, May 30, 2026: Kowloon Walled City Park & Movie Exhibition
Kowloon Walled City (aka City of Darkness) was a densely populated, ungoverned enclave in Hong Kong, known for its high-rise, interconnected buildings, and "three-not" status (not managed by British, Chinese, or local authorities). Built as a Qing fort, it became a lawless, chaotic metropolis of 50,000 residents on only 6.4 acres before its demolition in 1993, now transformed into Kowloon Walled City Park.
We'll explore the park and the movie exhibition, which is dedicated to the Best Picture movie "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In". This film reunited Hong Kong film professionals, as the complete movie sets were built and shot in Hong Kong.
Once we are done we'll find a local restaurant for dinner.
Meeting Point: 3:30pm @ Sung Wong Toi MTR, Exit B2
