Welcome to Roz Hiking.

We are a friendly hiking group based in Hong Kong who do regular free weekly hikes, all over Hong Kong. Our hikes have varying degrees of difficulty, so please take a moment of your time to read the information on this website before joining a hike. Sun, Mar 22, 2026: Tei Tong Tsai & Shek Pik Country Trails
We will get the bus to Pak Kung Au and walk on the Tei Tong Tsai Country trail heading towards the concrete path that will take us up past Fa Hong Monastery towards the Wisdom Path. This is a gradual ascent on an easy trail that offers shade on a hot day. Once we hit the Wisdom Path will take the Shek Pik Country Trail down towards Shek Pik Reservoir. This trail is mainly flat and also offers us some shade. Once we hit the reservoir we will grab a bus back to either Tung Chung or Mui Wo. An alternative option if the weather is hot is to take the bus back at Ngong Ping. We can decide on the day.

Sun, Mar 29, 2026: Lai Chi Shan "First Ascent"
I saw a small peak on the map that I don't think we have climbed before. And the route will be convenient as a chance to try a certain Russian borscht restaurant in Fo Tan. Here's the plan.

From Tai Po MTR, we will choose between a couple of options behind Shan Tong New Village Garden to ascend Lai Chi Shan. We expect the trails to be rough and narrow but not very steep. From there we will follow one of the proper trails through the woods of Tai Po Kau and make our way down to Fo Tan on some more familiar rough trails. Of course, if it's hot on the day we could cut it short by descending through Tai Po Kau.

We'll complete the day with refreshments at the borscht restaurant in Fo Tan.
