Welcome to Roz Hiking.

We are a friendly hiking group based in Hong Kong who do regular free weekly hikes, all over Hong Kong. Our hikes have varying degrees of difficulty, so please take a moment of your time to read the information on this website before joining a hike. Any questions, let us know and we hope to see you soon.
STAGE FOUR - KEI LING HA TO TATE'S CAIRN
Note: I recommend doing this backwards for 2 reasons. Firstly, you can get a taxi TO Gilwell Camp Site but (unless you call one) you are unlikely to get one back, but you can get a bus easily at the other end. Secondly, there is a long, steep part near Kei Ling Ha end and I prefer to walk down it at the end.

Start:: Take MTR to Choi Hung. Take exit A and take a taxi to Gilwell Camp Site (you will need to point to it on the map).

End: From Kei Ling Ha, you can catch a bus or taxi to Sai Kung or Ma On Shan. (Turn left when you get to the road)

Time: 5 hours

Difficulty: Difficult but beautiful.

100 Km in 10 sections

These are the official sections and times. However, if you click on the links you can see the actual walking times from where you can join the trail to where you get off. The stage endings on the map do not always have public transport available.

The MacLehose Trail hosts the annual HK Oxfam Trailwalker, one of the largest fundraising sports events in Hong Kong.

Times are estimates only.

One star denotes the easiest walks with 3 stars being the most difficult. Difficulty levels are not an exact science and will differ based on your own hiking experience / fitness level. Please read our Hiking, Health & Safety section before doing any of these hikes. Thank you.
