We are a friendly hiking group based in Hong Kong who do regular free weekly hikes, all over Hong Kong. Our hikes have varying degrees of difficulty, so please take a moment of your time to read the information on this website before joining a hike. STAGE EIGHT - LEAD MINE PASS TO ROUTE TWISK
Start: I prefer walking this backwards as you can get more public transport that way. Take MTR to Tsuen Wan. Then taxi to Tai Mo Shan. The taxi should be able to take you up most of the hill.
End: You have a choice. You can walk downhill to Tai Po on Wilson stage 7 or walk the flat pineapple dam trail on the west of Shing Mun reservoir or walk MacLehose section 6 up a hill on the east of the reservoir.
Time: 4 hours + at least 1.5 hours more walking to get on/off the trails.
Difficulty: Moderate

The MacLehose Trail hosts the annual HK Oxfam Trailwalker, one of the largest fundraising sports events in Hong Kong.
